21 Carpenter
A former 1936 remittance house between Singapore's Chinatown and Clarke Quay has been transformed into 21 Carpenter. WOHA's restoration retains traces of the building's migrant history alongside a contemporary addition. Its 48 individual rooms and suites, landscaped terraces and rooftop infinity pool give this small hotel an architectural identity rooted in the surrounding neighbourhood.
