About Luxe Adviser
Luxe Adviser is an independent editorial and hospitality intelligence platform dedicated to researching, evaluating and documenting luxury hotels and the people, brands and institutions that shape the hospitality industry.
Through original research, hotel rankings, comparative analysis, destination intelligence, professional profiles, industry distinctions and historical records, Luxe Adviser seeks to provide an informed, structured and independent perspective on luxury hospitality.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of luxeadviser.com, including its content, rankings, research databases, profiles, interactive tools and related digital services (collectively, the "Platform").
References to "Luxe Adviser" identify the editorial service and its publisher. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean the person or entity responsible for operating and publishing the Platform.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms to the extent that they form an enforceable agreement under applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
The Platform is provided for general public access without a subscription or access fee.
Editorial Independence
Editorial independence is fundamental to Luxe Adviser.
Our research priorities, editorial decisions, rankings, classifications and published assessments are determined according to our own editorial standards, methodologies and professional judgement.
No hotel, hotel group, destination, individual or other interested party is entitled to inclusion, favourable treatment or a particular ranking position.
Participation in research, the submission of information or correspondence with Luxe Adviser does not confer influence over editorial decisions.
Our rankings are not available for purchase. Any future advertising, sponsorship or commercial collaboration will be identified appropriately and distinguished from independent editorial assessment.
Luxe Adviser retains editorial discretion over the selection, evaluation, presentation and publication of content, subject to applicable law and our commitment to factual accuracy and fair representation.
Further information about our editorial principles is available in our Editorial Standards.
Rankings, Scores and Methodology
Luxe Adviser publishes independent rankings and comparative assessments developed through its own research and evaluation framework.
These assessments may draw upon independent hospitality recognition, established industry publications, historical records, hotel characteristics and other relevant sources.
Rankings and scores represent the application of a particular methodology to the information available for a given assessment period. They should not be interpreted as absolute or universally applicable measures of hotel quality.
In particular:
Rankings reflect the evaluation criteria and weightings applicable to the relevant edition.
Scores represent comparative assessments, not objective guarantees of quality, service or guest satisfaction.
The inclusion or exclusion of a hotel does not imply certification, accreditation or an official determination of its standard.
Historical rankings reflect their respective assessment periods and may not be directly comparable across different editions.
Changes in methodology, eligibility, source information or hotel circumstances may affect rankings over time.
Rankings, scores and classifications may be revised to correct errors, incorporate verified information or reflect methodological changes.
Our Methodology describes the principal criteria, evaluation framework and approach underlying these assessments.
Luxe Adviser retains responsibility for determining and interpreting its methodology. Publication of a methodology does not confer a right to influence its design or application.
Research, Accuracy and Historical Information
Luxe Adviser draws upon publicly available information, official announcements, established publications, industry records, historical documentation and other sources considered relevant to its research.
We endeavour to verify information, reconcile conflicting records and distinguish factual reporting from editorial assessment.
Nevertheless, the hospitality industry is continually evolving. Hotel names, management appointments, ownership, operating status, facilities, affiliations, opening schedules, distinctions and other characteristics may change without notice.
Historical information may also be incomplete or subject to reinterpretation as additional evidence becomes available.
While we take reasonable care in preparing and maintaining our content, we cannot guarantee that every record is complete, current or free from error.
The date of an event, the date of its original publication and the date on which it is recorded by Luxe Adviser may differ.
We may amend, supplement, reclassify, archive or remove content where justified by new information, source corrections, editorial review or changes in methodology.
Material corrections will be handled in accordance with our Corrections policy.
Hotels, Brands and Individuals Featured
The Platform contains information about hotels, hotel companies, brands, destinations, general managers, designers, travel advisers, critics and other individuals or organisations associated with luxury hospitality.
Their inclusion does not, by itself, imply any commercial relationship, affiliation, endorsement or approval by the featured party.
Likewise, inclusion should not be interpreted as an endorsement by Luxe Adviser beyond the specific editorial assessment or information presented.
Professional profiles may include publicly available information concerning appointments, career history, professional affiliations, achievements, distinctions and other matters relevant to an individual's professional activities.
We aim to present such information fairly, accurately and within an appropriate professional context.
Individuals and organisations may request the correction of inaccurate information or raise concerns regarding attribution, privacy or factual representation.
Such requests will be considered in accordance with our Corrections policy, Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Requests for correction do not automatically entitle a person or organisation to the removal of otherwise lawful and accurately reported editorial content.
Third-Party Awards, Distinctions and Recognition
Luxe Adviser documents and references awards, distinctions, rankings, classifications and recognition programmes administered by independent organisations.
These may include hospitality guides, professional associations, editorial publications and other recognised industry bodies.
References to such recognition are provided for factual, historical, comparative and editorial purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Luxe Adviser is independent of and is not sponsored, endorsed or officially affiliated with the organisations administering these programmes.
The names, trademarks, logos, award designations, publications and other protected materials of third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
Luxe Adviser does not claim ownership of independently awarded distinctions or represent itself as the awarding authority.
Our classification, consolidation, historical tracking and comparative presentation of third-party recognition constitute part of our independent research activity.
The inclusion of third-party information does not imply that the underlying organisation has approved Luxe Adviser's interpretation, scoring or presentation.
Intellectual Property and Database Rights
The Platform contains original editorial content, research, database compilations, rankings, analytical frameworks, software, design elements and other materials developed or licensed by Luxe Adviser.
To the extent protected by applicable law, intellectual property rights in these materials belong to Luxe Adviser or their respective rights holders.
Protected materials may include:
Original written content, commentary and analysis.
The selection, coordination and arrangement of research records.
Proprietary ranking compilations and scoring presentations.
Original classifications, editorial structures and data organisation.
Website design, graphics, interfaces and visual identity.
Software, databases and other original digital assets.
Individual facts, hotel names, historical events and other information that is not independently protected by intellectual property law do not become the exclusive property of Luxe Adviser merely because they appear on the Platform.
Similarly, third-party photographs, trademarks, published works and other protected materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
However, the original selection, arrangement, presentation and substantial compilation of factual information may be protected by copyright, database rights or other applicable laws.
Public availability of content does not constitute a general licence for unrestricted reproduction, redistribution or commercial exploitation.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by their respective owners.
Permitted Use
The Platform is intended to be accessible, informative and useful to readers, researchers, hospitality professionals, journalists and other interested parties.
Subject to applicable law and these Terms, you may:
Browse and search publicly accessible content.
Consult rankings, hotel profiles and research for personal, educational, journalistic or internal professional reference.
Share links to publicly accessible pages.
Quote reasonable, limited excerpts with appropriate attribution.
Refer to individual rankings, scores or findings, provided the relevant edition or date is accurately identified.
Print or retain individual pages for lawful private reference.
Use information in ways permitted by applicable copyright exceptions, limitations and other legal rights.
Attribution should identify Luxe Adviser as the source and, where appropriate, include a link to the relevant page.
References must accurately represent the underlying information and must not omit important qualifications or create a misleading impression.
Permitted reference to individual findings does not authorise substantial reproduction of the Platform's proprietary databases or original editorial compilations.
Commercial References and Attribution
Hotels, hospitality companies, travel advisers, publications and other organisations may make accurate factual references to individual Luxe Adviser rankings and findings.
For example, a hotel may refer to its position in a specified Luxe Adviser ranking, provided the edition, ranking category and position are represented accurately.
Such references must not:
Suggest that Luxe Adviser has granted an official certification or accreditation where none exists.
Present a historical position as a current ranking.
Misrepresent a score, category, distinction or assessment.
Imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement without authorisation.
Alter or selectively reproduce information in a materially misleading manner.
The use of Luxe Adviser's name solely to identify the source of an accurate factual reference does not ordinarily require prior permission, subject to applicable law.
The use of Luxe Adviser logos, proprietary graphics, official-looking badges or other branded assets for promotional purposes requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law.
Substantial reproduction of ranking tables, commercial redistribution of proprietary datasets and incorporation of protected compilations into third-party commercial products require separate authorisation.
Requests may be directed to info@luxeadviser.com.
Search Engines, Artificial Intelligence and Automated Access
Luxe Adviser supports the discovery of its publicly accessible editorial content through search engines, AI-powered search services and other legitimate information-discovery tools.
Our objective is to make credible hospitality research discoverable while protecting the substantial investment involved in collecting, verifying, structuring and maintaining original research.
Search and discovery
Search engines and AI-powered discovery services may access and index publicly available pages where permitted by applicable law and the Platform's published technical instructions.
They may generate links, search previews and limited summaries that accurately identify the relevant content and its source.
Such discovery should preserve the attribution and context necessary to avoid materially misrepresenting our findings.
Permission for search and discovery does not constitute permission for unrestricted extraction, storage, redistribution or commercial exploitation of protected content.
Automated extraction and bulk reuse
Except where expressly authorised or permitted by applicable law, users and automated systems must not:
Systematically extract or harvest substantial portions of the Platform's databases.
Replicate proprietary ranking compilations or research datasets.
Create or maintain a competing or substitute database primarily from protected Luxe Adviser content.
Repeatedly extract protected material in a manner that circumvents reasonable access restrictions or infringes applicable database rights.
Redistribute, sublicense or commercially exploit substantial collections of protected Platform content without authorisation.
Bypass security measures, technical restrictions or access controls.
These restrictions apply to automated and manual extraction where the activity infringes applicable rights or breaches an enforceable provision of these Terms.
Artificial intelligence training and data mining
Limited indexing, retrieval and summarisation for search and discovery purposes are distinguished from the systematic collection of content for model training or the construction of reusable commercial datasets.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Luxe Adviser reserves its rights in protected editorial content, databases and compilations against unauthorised reproduction or extraction for AI model training, dataset construction and other text and data mining purposes.
This reservation does not restrict activities expressly authorised by Luxe Adviser or uses permitted under mandatory statutory exceptions or other applicable legal rights.
Where required for legal effectiveness, rights reservations may also be expressed through appropriate machine-readable technical measures.
Responsible automated access
Automated services should respect published crawling instructions, applicable technical standards and reasonable measures intended to preserve the security and availability of the Platform.
Luxe Adviser may restrict automated access where reasonably necessary to prevent excessive traffic, unauthorised extraction, interference or other misuse.
We may establish separate licensing arrangements for commercial data access, research integrations and other authorised uses.
Unacceptable Use
You must not use the Platform in a manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or materially harmful to its operation or users.
In particular, you must not:
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted systems, administrative functions or databases.
Introduce malicious software or interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.
Impersonate Luxe Adviser or falsely claim to act on its behalf.
Misrepresent the source, authenticity or meaning of published material.
Remove or obscure intellectual property notices when reproducing protected material without authorisation.
Use the Platform to infringe the rights of others.
Circumvent reasonable technical measures protecting restricted functionality or content.
We may take proportionate action to prevent or address misuse, including restricting access and pursuing remedies available under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms prohibits legitimate security research, lawful reporting, statutory rights or other conduct that cannot legally be restricted.
Corrections, Submissions and Feedback
Luxe Adviser welcomes factual corrections, relevant research contributions, documentary evidence and constructive feedback.
We encourage hotels, industry professionals, researchers and readers to identify information that may require clarification or correction.
Submissions should be made in good faith and, where possible, supported by reliable evidence.
By providing information or materials, you confirm that you are entitled to submit them and that doing so does not knowingly infringe third-party rights, disclose unlawfully obtained personal information or breach applicable confidentiality obligations.
You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you hold in submitted materials.
You grant Luxe Adviser a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to receive, store, review and use those materials insofar as reasonably necessary to assess and respond to your submission. Publication or broader reuse of copyright-protected material will require an appropriate legal basis or additional permission.
We are not obliged to publish submitted material, adopt suggested changes or provide individual editorial responses in every case.
Luxe Adviser may independently verify submitted information and consult additional sources before making editorial changes.
Further information is provided in our Corrections policy.
External Links and Third-Party Services
The Platform may contain links to hotels, hospitality companies, publishers, award organisations, tourism authorities and other external websites or services.
These links are provided for reference, contextual information or convenience.
Luxe Adviser does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices.
A link to an external website does not necessarily imply endorsement, affiliation or approval.
Users should review the relevant terms and policies of third-party services before engaging with them.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Luxe Adviser does not arrange, sell or act as the contractual provider of hotel accommodation, transportation, travel experiences or related services.
Reservations, purchases and other transactions entered into with third parties remain subject to the terms of the relevant provider.
Privacy and Personal Information
Luxe Adviser respects the privacy of its readers and the individuals appearing in its research.
Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information may be collected, used, stored, disclosed and protected in connection with the Platform.
This may include information provided through correspondence, correction requests and other voluntary communications, as well as technical information associated with the operation and security of the Platform.
The publication and processing of professional information concerning individuals featured in our research are subject to applicable data protection laws and the principles described in our Privacy Policy.
Individuals may contact info@luxeadviser.com regarding privacy concerns or the exercise of applicable data protection rights.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Availability and Changes to the Platform
We endeavour to maintain a reliable and accessible Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Platform and its content may be updated, modified, temporarily suspended or discontinued for editorial, operational, technical, security or legal reasons.
This includes changes to:
Rankings, scores and assessment methodologies.
Research databases and historical records.
Search, filtering and comparison functionality.
Hotel, brand, destination and professional profiles.
Editorial sections and other digital services.
We may correct or withdraw content where warranted, including when information becomes inaccurate, rights concerns arise or a source is no longer considered reliable.
We are not obliged to retain every historical version of the Platform or maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
Where reasonably practicable, significant methodological changes affecting the interpretation of published rankings will be explained through the relevant documentation.
Information and Editorial Disclaimer
The Platform provides editorial, historical and research information for general reference.
While Luxe Adviser endeavours to maintain high standards of accuracy, its content is not a substitute for independent verification where a decision depends upon particular facts or circumstances.
Information concerning hotels, facilities, operating arrangements, awards, affiliations or personnel may change after publication.
Rankings, reviews, scores and other editorial assessments represent research-based judgements and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future performance, service standards, safety, availability or guest satisfaction.
Luxe Adviser does not provide financial, legal, investment or other regulated professional advice through its general editorial content.
Users remain responsible for independently assessing information material to their travel, professional or commercial decisions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an "as available" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, completeness or suitability for any particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Luxe Adviser and its operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of, inability to use or reliance upon the Platform.
This includes losses arising from service interruptions, third-party content, errors or omissions in published information, or changes to rankings, classifications and other editorial assessments, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Any disclaimer or limitation of liability applies only to the extent enforceable under the law applicable to the particular circumstances.
Intellectual Property Concerns
Luxe Adviser respects the intellectual property rights of third parties.
If you believe that content on the Platform infringes copyright, trademark rights or other legally protected interests, please contact info@luxeadviser.com.
Your correspondence should identify the material concerned, explain the relevant rights and provide sufficient information for us to assess the concern.
We may request additional documentation where appropriate.
Where a complaint is substantiated, we will take appropriate action, which may include correcting attribution, modifying content, restricting access or removing material.
Submitting a complaint does not automatically establish infringement or require removal of content that is lawfully published.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Platform, our services, applicable legal requirements or operational circumstances.
The current version will be made available on the Platform and will identify the date of its most recent update.
Where changes materially affect users' rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice.
Revised Terms will apply prospectively from their stated effective date, subject to applicable law.
Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance where legally permitted.
Where affirmative agreement or additional notice is required by law, we will comply with those requirements.
Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising from access to or use of the Platform, are subject to the laws and jurisdiction applicable under the relevant legal rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections, data protection rights, intellectual property exceptions or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Before commencing formal legal proceedings, users and other interested parties are encouraged to contact Luxe Adviser so that concerns may, where appropriate, be addressed constructively.
This provision does not prevent any person from exercising rights to seek immediate legal relief or referring a matter to a competent court or regulatory authority.
General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Failure by Luxe Adviser to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it subsequently.
These Terms do not create an employment, agency, partnership, fiduciary or joint venture relationship between Luxe Adviser and users of the Platform.
No provision grants ownership of intellectual property or any right beyond those expressly provided or established by applicable law.
The headings in these Terms are provided for convenience and do not alter their interpretation.
