Azumi Setoda
On Ikuchijima in the Seto Inland Sea, Azumi Setoda occupies the restored Horiuchi family estate, built by merchants enriched through shipping and salt. Kyoto architect Shiro Miura preserved its traditional timber craftsmanship while introducing contemporary guest rooms and hinoki baths. The result preserves a strong connection to the former port town and its daily life.
