Soori Penang
Soori Penang occupies a restored group of heritage shophouses adjoining Khoo Kongsi in George Town's UNESCO-listed centre. Architect Soo K. Chan returned to buildings associated with his childhood to create a small collection of suites with preserved details, airwells and bespoke furnishings. Opened in January 2026, the hotel places contemporary hospitality within Penang's layered Chinese-clan and trading history.
