The Langham, Bangkok

On the Chao Phraya in Bang Rak, The Langham is being built around Bangkok’s 1888 Custom House, making historic architecture central to its identity. The restored neo-Palladian landmark will anchor public spaces, while a curving contemporary building by Smith Obayawat houses the guestrooms, setting up a deliberate conversation between the river, old Bangkok and a new architectural layer.
