Antonio Saponara studied at hotel school in his native Naples before moving to London at 18 to begin work as a busboy at Four Seasons. His career developed through restaurant and Food and Beverage management, followed by hotel leadership appointments with The Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai and Bulgari Hotels & Resorts in Moscow and Beijing. His subsequent experience included general management at Patina Maldives, Fari Islands, adding an island-resort opening and sustainability dimension to a career formed in luxury urban hotels.
