On Bali’s quieter eastern coast, Amankila steps down a forested hillside beneath Mount Agung towards the Lombok Strait. Stilted pavilions, frangipani-lined paths and the distinctive three-tier pool give the resort a strong architectural rhythm, while a black-sand beach below preserves the coast’s rugged, elemental character.
