Capella Shanghai

Capella Shanghai occupies Jian Ye Li, a restored 1930s shikumen estate in Xuhui where narrow lanes and brick townhouses preserve a rare fragment of old Shanghai. Jaya Ibrahim’s interiors respect the estate’s original proportions and textures, giving the all-villa hotel a residential scale that is difficult to reproduce in the modern city.
