Ochiairo

Established in 1874 at the meeting of two rivers in Izu’s Amagi mountains, Ochiairo is a ryokan whose timber buildings are protected as registered tangible cultural properties. Its 16 guestrooms retain traditional Japanese craftsmanship, complemented by modern bathing and sauna facilities. Forested riverbanks, seasonal Izu cuisine and carefully preserved interiors define its long-standing identity.
